With its floor-to-ceiling glass walls, this bathroom is pretty impressive and a far cry from what it used to be. The clients wanted an earthy feel and a space that off ered uninterrupted views to the backyard. As we were removing the walls, we had to open up the ceiling to do some engineering work — it’s now cantilevered as it no longer has support from the walls. It was a technical and intricate task and we really pulled out all the stops, using our expert craftsmen to complete it to the highest standard. The bath itself is bluestone and we also reinforced the walls to hang the matching vanity and sink for a streamlined look. Light beige tiles balance the dark stone, while feature lighting to the wall niche and cabinet add the finishing touches to a totally transformed room.”Designer: Peter Gurovski for Room Four
