This 100-year-old Californian Bungalow, last renovated in the 1970s, was completely transformed into a refined, functional family home. The renovation included a new high-end kitchen featuring a custom brass rangehood, Ilve appliances, and Calacatta marble surfaces, along with updated bathrooms, laundry, new flooring, and living areas.
The layout was reconfigured to include three bedrooms upstairs, a master suite and additional bedroom downstairs, study, and two fully equipped home offices. All windows were replaced with double-hung timber units, and 3-metre-high French doors with custom leadlight now open the main living area to the outdoors.
The original staircase was replaced with solid American Oak, and a structural wall was removed to open up the living space, supported by a large steel beam. A new in-built fireplace was added, alongside an outdoor patio with open fireplace connecting to one of the offices.
Additional upgrades included a generous laundry for a large family, a new mudroom-style entry, and full exterior repainting—carefully blending old-world charm with contemporary living.
